Tell me more about that desktop case. What is it? Im interested in puting together a small quiet pc, possibly a htpc. Can you point me to nice small desktop case that can closely look like a theather component.

Thanks much dragonlord! I was really excited.... Oh well... You saved me much time and aggravation.

LOL...aggravation is an understatement. The moral I think is to not build a system around a case. I'm probably gonna get that small desktop case for 45 shipped from newegg.
BTW: My refurb nforce worked great. There is a vague option in the bios to set the vid to primary and it was set to secondary by default. The nvidia combo drivers are newer and better I think than Asus. Do not d/l the LAN update from windowsupdate.com! I couldn't find the computer on the network after that installed.
Also, this board SMOKES the ECS K7S5a that was originally installed.

Bump, back in stock

Does anyone know if I'll see a big difference if I swap this with my Epox 8K7A? Does this board take an alpha 8045? I currently have a Geforce 2 GTS, will the onboard Geforce 2 run about the same? Will anyone know if this can go into a Antec 1030 case?

"Don't use PC2700 in this board -- you'll miss out on some of that all-important memory bandwidth. I lost 200MB/sec in SiSoft Sandra with PC2700. So that means the recommended memory for this would be DDR266. One stick or two, it doesn't matter."

What is he implying? Using ddr2700 instead of ddr2100 will slow the board down? not true right?

Which ver. of the Nvidia drivers seem to work best on this board?

Got my board today and it seems great but its missing everything but the board ... I am a little disappointed as in the past I have gotten Newegg refurbs with at a couple of items in them and at least the owners manual.

I believe he was running the memory async (FSB 133, RAM 166).

I've got one of these I run as the computer in my car. Works pretty well, though it did originally ship with the wrong physical BIOS chip. That could be the source of some of those refub boards.
