I remember selling a Nomad Jukebox for $510.00 a while back on Ebay. $109.99 net is a great price on this baby, but what are the differences between the Nomad "C" and the regular version?

This rebate link was gotten from pricegrabber. It looks like the same thing, JuckboxC silver, PN: 7000000000007.

I got wind of this thru FW, went to order then it said out of stock before I completed the order. I was in setp 5, the last step of the order. Wonder whats going on wit those goofballs.

EDIT: I now think its a different part number. I don't think the rebate will be valid, but will be very please if it does work. I'll cut off the UPC and send it in just for luck.

Does anyone know the diff between the JukeboxC and Jukebox (non-C) versions? I seem to be overlooking the difference. Please describe.

Differences:

Nomad Jukebox C - does not come with: 1) headphones or 2) Carrying Case, but it does come with 4AA NiMH Rechargeable batteries, AC Adapter, and software.

bquerry - most of the time the affiliate links are give to those who sign up as affiliates to sites (ie. pay a percentage for a linkee's clickthrough). . .it is possible that Creative is tagging your link based on your customer number or something. We tried the affiliate stuff on our website and would end up making about $50 a month, almost enough for lunch a few days!

My total was $160.62 with 2nd Day UPS and tax to NC. If the $30 off MIR actually works, then I'll be very happy. If not, I'll just be content.

When bluelight was selling a nomad below cost , rememer some people saying this could be used for portable PC/Data storage. Are there mixed usage opportunities for this as well.

Actually, I just hope this has low frequency RCA outs that I can wire it into my car.

For those interested in upgrading the H/D (20GB would be nice), there is a guide here. . .They also sell the H/D's, but kinda expensive (just use a 9.5mm 2.5" laptop H/D, your choice):

I'll wait for the warranty to run out, then replace the drive. BTW, if you really think about this offer, $160 w/ tax and shipping is about the same price as the Rio Volt SP-250 CD/MP3/WMA player. Although it has an FM tuner, it can only support up to 700MB. It was about 1yr ago when the Nomad Jukebox was selling for $399. Just something to contemplate. . .or you can consider it a $189.99 purchase with a $30 instant rebate?

Great deal if you ask me. Not quite as good as the Bluelight $29.88 Nomad Jukebox, but unfortunately, that order did not go through

The "C" also refers to a firmware revision. I got the email also and they were out of stock. I called this morning and they had just gotten stock. Ordered one, final price 154.00 to Cincinnati. Actuallt these are sold out every at local B&M, worth getting so that you don't have to hassle with MIR. The price actually reflects the MIR when you compare price with other onlie etailers. Rebate is invalid due to change in product number and you cannot use Creative packing list. Buy one from a local retailer when in stock, photocopy receipt, return item. Use your UPC and photocopy of receipt for rebate. Not advocating this, merely thinking out loud. It seems MP3 players are a hot item this xmas, very difficult to find. Best Buy has put the Archos 20 gig jukebox on on sale starting today for 324.00 with $75 in rebates. It is cool to see that you can rig a larger drive in the Nomad Juke, I am getting it for use in my vehicle, 100+ cd's is more than sufficient for my use. I actually think this is a HOT deal!!!!
