Warm PC game deals at Sam's Cub . . .

Spotted these PC games for $16 and change at Sam's club today:
1) Temple of Elemental Evil
2) Neverwinter Nights Gold Edition
3) Civilization 3 - Gold Edition

These games currentle sell for $30 at other retail stores . . . . :beer:

These are boxed sets - really tempted to get these except that she-who-must-be-obeyed knows that I've got all these games already. The Civ3 Gold Ed as well as NWN have really nice foil boxes for those who hang on to them (like me)

I've been thinking about finally getting NWN. I'll run by my local Sam's with the hope they still have some in stock.

at the sams clubs in michigan, you don't need a membership to buy anything as long as you buy some alcohol with it. some state law that makes memberships to buy beer/wine/booze illegal, but they'll ring up your whole purchase without a membership. just tell the gate guard that you're buying booze and they'll let you in without a membership too.

What's funny is that the NWN: Shadows of Undretide expansion by itself is $29.99

This is when the Hide-All cheat code for she-who-must-be-obeyed comes in handy. If they should discover the Hide-All cheat code, you simply fall back to the Stretch-the-truth code and simply use a random statement such as "What box?", "I think you got that for me last year", and of course "I am so happy you taken an intreste in my hobby, have I told you you look great today?" Use with caution, see disclaimer.

Disclaimer: use of info could cause she-who-must-be-obeyed to become higly aggitated and could end up costing more in side effects (ie: sparkely things) that what the intended offer may warrent. In that case, skip the excellent deal all together or have a friend get it for you as a gift (invokes the guilt-free clause, section B, sub paragraph 4)

LMAO - I should learn to transfer these RPG skills to real-life. Too bad I can't respawn or do a save game before trying those 'spells.' I might try to go back tomorrow to get NWN just because the expansion pack is already included . . . good game hunting to the rest of 'ya . . .

I thought I saw NWN on clearance at Target sometime in the last couple of weeks...might have been $29.99 or $23.99. YYMV of course...especially at Christmas time. It seems like they take most of the good stuff off of clearance because people will buy just about anything cheap to give as a gift.

they are supppose to check your id even if you look like you are 30

if you don't have your id, skip the booze and tell them you want to get a hotdog or a soda. no membership needed for that. and you can pay for your other goods there too. keep in mind that the hotdog stand line is suppose to move a lot faster than the checkout area, so minimize the # of items.

another way to get your "foot" in the door is to tell them (sams, costco, bjs, etc) you need to fill a prescription or buy something from the pharmacy. THEY CAN'T DENY YOU ACCESS TO MEDICATION(federal law). just pick up a bottle of rubbing alcohol while you are in the pharmacy area, should be under $1
