Seems like a "rebate loaded" Cyber Monday this year. Everywhere I'm hitting has "after rebate" deals.

I don't have any problems with rebates if I take the time to do each one 100% correctly. Like the Circuit City deal I took advantage of for a free Motorola cable modem... I've got three rebates to mail in and I had to read the damn thing twice to figure it out. They want a copy of my cable bill?!?!? Whatever. :roll:

Actually this is HOT for a lot of people but not for me. I live in IL and they are going to charge taxes which is about $25.00. So if you don't live in a state that they tax then this is definitly hot.

for those with the money, and outside of CA (i think they only charge tax in CA) ZZF has the evga 7800 CO SE for 299.99 free 2day shipping. it's 460mhz/1100mhz (only 10mhz less than CO which is 470mhz, ram speed is the same)
this one's 400/1000.

i currenlty have a p4(s478) 2.53 oc to 3.4 with a 6800nu (unlocks)
i want to upgrade my vid card but they dont make s478 pcie mobos and no 7800 series in agp format
im thinking of upgrading to a amd 3800+ dual core with this 7800gt
guys think its worth the upgrade?
i play on a 2405fpw screen so i need or like to play using hi res

What to do, what to do.. i actually had the evga card in my cart until i saw this deal.
BTW many reports abound of 500+ overclocking with some cards, but ive seen some who could only max out at around 462 or so with ~1100 memory. The fact that its guaranteed to hit 460/1100 is a decent feature for the evga.
I hate tigerdirect, but i do like pny cards, I already have cod2... dammit.

Annihilator, pass on the dual core, get a regular 3000 a64 and oc it. That savings alone should help finance the move to pci-e. Put together a dfi infinity sli board over the weekend, its working great.

man, newegg did the same thing this morning, it was down to 289, 300-20 instant savings. They jacked it up to 329 later in the day. Tigerdirect must have done the same.
Well that makes it easy, zzf here i come. Not paying more to get the rebate.
