Why do I think this is a good value? Well, even assuming it was it's $216, it's cheaper than GTX 670 when each is bought new. Both cards are about equal with 760 being slightly slower but cheaper. Taking the $176 price into account it's not a bad value. Also, $40 rebate card can buy an aftermarket cooler or some RAM - it's actually enough to buy something useful unlike those $10-20 rebates.

In SLi, 2x GTX 760's will decimate almost all and match Titan. I grabbed 2 of them for my Sli mobo, because I recently sold my GTX 670 FTW LE for $270, so I have a good part of the funds available. ; )


EDIT: Also forgot to mention. You get 2 free games with purchase of this card! Although I am not sure how you actually get them. I am assuming you get the code in the box? EDIT2 Never mind. Newegg is very sneaky. You cannot get BOTH the MASTERPASS discount AND the Games. It's either/or... those tricksters... I think the deal is now dead, because newegg no longer lets you remove the nvidia promo. : (



Edit3 Never seen such trickery from newegg before. I was stupid to cancel my order because I wanted to get in on the games as well which they added 5 min after I placed my order. So after I cancelled, and wanted to reorder, now you cannot remove the nvidia promo and cant use MASTERPASS. Wow newegg.. that's very very low...


Decided not to give up. Used a chat feature to talk to newegg's rep. She was surprisingly nice and offered to honor the original price if I make the same exact order with same payment method. I did exactly that. Lets see if she keeps her promise.


update got a reply from newegg. They said they issued a refund for the difference between my original order and new one. Once it actually posts to my account I will update. But so far, service is "eggcellent". ; ) Cant complain about the way I was treated.

update2 Got the difference between old price and new refunded to me, AND got the game codes as well. So newegg really held up their end of the deal.

Amazon is pretty legit, especially if you have amazon prime. Micro Center can be pretty awesome too, but I hate paying 8% sales tax so I do most of my shopping online

I bought a refurb wave combo which states 90 day mfr warranty. I contacted logitech because my mouse was buggin out and I could not install the software for neither the mouse nor keyboard. Logitech said that refurb products sold by third party vendors are not covered under their mfr warranty. Called up newegg, newegg said that their refurbs are not meant to perform as good, or have all the features, as the new product and since there was no software included in the box, it is meant to run without any software... WTF?!?!?!?
So I guess my refurb 7970 is not meant to have drivers because I didn't get anything except for the card itself in the box?

Another newegg trickery instance I have is when I bought my refurb 7970. Price was $249 and I wanted to use the mobile app 10% off promo code. By the time I was done with the mobile app checkout, I was charged $259 because the price went up by $10. Also as a result of the price change, they inlcuded a free D-Link wireless router. I was charged $10 more and did not receive the router.

Sadly Microcenter is not an option for me. It's way, way too far from me.
Amazon is cool, but they charge tax. Newegg doesn't because they don't have presence in NYC.

Microcenter usually isn't that great for video cards. CPU's and cheap cases/fans they are great.

I dunno about fans, there are usually much better deals online. Their cases can sometimes be cheaper than online, but usually the prices are the same. CPUs and motherboard combos is definitely where Micro Center shines the most though.

Yeah, it's too bad for those of us who remember Newegg as one of the best e-tailers out there. I get charged sales tax with Amazon and not with Newegg (for now) but more often than not, I'll go with Amazon in a toss up.

As long as we long-time customers are whizzing on Newegg, their latest policy has me seeing red.

New policy: any order from a non-USA IP address is automatically cancelled. Tried a couple times to get OP's GTX 760 card, got the Confirmations, but each time a mysterious cancellation - with no explanation!

I am currently deployed overseas, and ordered using a USA credit card and delivery to my registered USA card address. Called Customer Service, and also tried chat (after reading OP), but both say the same thing: whiz off!

I'm re-evaluating my 20+ year relationship with NE too. I could have jimmied up a free VPN connection, but - why? Bought the same card (for more) elsewhere - and it was worth it.
