High bandwidth usage: Win2000Host offers an unlimited use policy by maintaining very large ratios of bandwidth per customer. In rare cases, Win2000Host may find a customer to be using server resources to such an extent that he or she may jeopardize server performance and resources for other customers. In such instances, Win2000Host reserves the right to impose the High Resource User Policy for the consideration of all customers.
You can run any CGI and non-CGI scripts you desire, however we reserve the right to disable any script that dramatically affects server performance.
We currently do not allow IRC or IRC bots to be operated on our servers.
We are proud to offer our clients non-restricted data transfer. This is considered any transfer of information in the form of text or graphic, directly readable by a web browser. Our intention is to provide a large storage space to serve web documents, not an off-site storage area for electronic files. All web pages (HTML) must be 'linked' with files (.GIF, .JPEG, etc.) that are stored on our servers. Web sites that are found to contain either/or no HTML documents or a large number of unlinked files are subject to warning, suspension or cancellation at the discretion of our administration.
As a note, over 85% of our clients never exceed even 2000 megs of total FTP and web page transfer combined, so you can be assured that our bandwidth is not choked by numerous 'load-heavy' sites. To further protect the integrity of our service, any individual site consistently using 10% or more of the system's resources may be issued a warning or have its account deactivated.

I think you'd be better off going with a company like Dathorn.com. $13.50 a month gets you 2 GB of disk space and 30 GB of bandwidth. It's not unlimited, but at least you will be with a quality host who many will agree provides great service.

I searched for quite awhile and the best deal for my needs turned out to be www.p4host.com extra plan.

1G storage and 40Gigs bandwidth for $8.99/mo or around $102/yr. Lots of Goodies and IM customer service is quick.

I think some on WHT have it out for the guy. Do a search and you will see what I'm talking about. Read the many posts from actual customers and you will see that most are getting much more than they pay for. I know I am. That was why I brought it up.

I have been with P4Host since April which is a couple months shy of when they began the business and things have been really good. They are much better in my case than ICDSOFT.com which has awesome ratings of their own. P4Host had some funky outages in the beginning as they were growing but they are even better today then when I first signed up. The package also grew and was 1gig/30gig back then. Any problems I can IM the guy and in less than a minute he is working the problem. If not on IM then I open a ticket and they answered within 10 minutes.

I'm not sure why recommending hosting is such a sensitive issue with some but my experieince is they have been a very good host and offer a very good deal for the money. Will P4HOST last? many said give them a few months and they will be slower than snot or gone. So far they have lasted and have gotten even better after 5 months.

I used to work for a company that offered unlimited bandwidth on all web hosting accounts. The problem was the idiot network admin had no idea how to control or monitor the bandwidth. I don't think this is true for this company, they must have competent people working there.

But honestly, we had over 400 websites and also did dial up for 288ports (basically 288 modems) for 3000 users including newsgroup for 6000 users, in-house-office usage, DNS for 6000 users, personal webspace, and email for 6000 users with 4 T-1 lines and we were barely avg'ing about 5mb/sec. We could have gotten a DS3 plugged in for about $3000 more per month but we had no use for it.

So I could believe it....$20/month is not cheap for hosting imo. But then again I dont have a huge ecommerce that generates $$$$$$.

There is always something fishy when you combine unlimited bandwidth and a Win2003 server. They do not give you much space unless you go with unlimited. If it looks too good and sounds to good and you can not find a lot of good feedback on it. Then stay away.

I am still with the Addaction.net deal for 6 months free with 9.95 setup and 6.95 a month after that, for 500MB, 10GB bandwidth, and Cpanel. Rossman gave some good info on that deal and has worked out well so far for me.

Well it didn't take me long to find one. And there's more about melliniumnetworks.com as well. Yet another name for the same people. Which brings the questions, why so many names for the same service? Are they trying to hide something?

Win2000Hoster .. they have some decent prices and packages .. but I have used them in the past and have some bad luck.

I have experienced alot of downtime for the short period of time I was with them.

Not to mention that "unlimited bandwidth" is just a joke.
