Does your case have the quick disconnect bays? It was a new product in the 1000, 1100, 1200, 2000, and 2100 cases. This case did come with tons of screws, but none of the HDD Fixed screws.

And I got more screws and stand-offs with my 75b than I'll ever use. However, that doesn't negate the fact that alkolkin and others got burned by LL QC.

I just heard from Lian Li Headquarters. They apologized and said that they were sending the HDD Fixed Screws! Well, for the manufacturer to respond to me is a sign that they do mean well!

You should keep in mind that this is not a small company producing a tiny number of products that only has a few customers. Taking under a week to get back to you is pretty good, especially since they are not based out of the US. I sent an email to them requesting information about the fans inside the V1100 case, but didn't get what I wanted for info. I asked for full spec's and they just gave me the size (which I already knew). I wanted the exact CFM, RPM, and dBA ratings of the fans (got the information from another source).

As for the missing screws... As I previously mentioned, I wouldn't be surprised if that shipment/lot was done on either a Friday or Monday. Those are notorious for being the worst days for manufacturing things. People are either looking forward to the weekend, or still recovering from the weekend. More errors are made on those days than the rest of the week combined.

Also keep in mind, the packages are done by human beings, which make mistakes. IF the full production line, from start to shipping, was 100% automated, then I'd question it more. Since I seriously doubt it is, mistakes can (and will) happen...

For the people commenting about the 'low quality' of the V series case, don't judge a line/product/manufacturer on models on display. I've seen floor models beat to crap and back again. Same items coming from a distributor has been flawless...

Maybe I wasn't clear in my many messages. I am NOT an isolated case of missing "HDD Fixed Screws". Several DISTRIBUTERS have had the same problem repeated. I too was impressed that Lian Li got back to me when they did. It is not a "Friday thing". It is an error in the instructions to their line and their QC for the V1200.

Anyway, the message is clear: anyone buying a V series case should make sure with the reseller from whom they buy that they will be supported aggressively if there are items missing. These HDD Fixed Screws are specialty items and if you do not have them you cannot install the hard disks so the case becomes useless. I was VERY fortunate having purchased from Performance-PC because they were so on top of the customer service.

The case is otherwise beautiful as I said, though the documentation is very weak for a case that is twice the cost of other cases. The lack of a removable motherboard tray is a slight downer, but the large opening (once you remove the special rail for holding down large internal adapters) allows you to install the motherboard without a problem. By the way, the use of the rail is not documented and neither is its removal. Only forums like this and careful examination and lots of imagination helped me figure out what to do.

It is all fun, however and the computer will be beautiful when I am finished with it.

Yeah that blows, I feel bad you and others are getting "screwed". I don't measure a company on the mistakes they make as much as I do what they are willign to do to take care of it.

I remember I bought a cooler master case like 4 or 5 years ago. It was missing the standoffs for the MOBO tray, I literally spent 8+ hours trying to find some fing standoffs.
The worst is you wait for the parts to arrive, ready to get to some serious business of building, only to be missing something as stupid as screws, How frustrating.

Yes, thank you. The purpose of my email is to forewarn so that those who love the look of the V1200B as I do, will not be frustrated but prepared.

The cases I have had in my possession and seen at other importers and retailers were factory fresh and in sealed banded cartons right from the factory warehouse in Taiwan. I pulled both of mine right off a pallet sitting in the importers warehouse. You guys just wait...I figure that these products ought to start filtering down to the end users within a few weeks.
