Tiger Direct had me on their list because of purchasing one case long ago. Meanwhile I cancelled my credit card so they could not charge me again. They did pursue me relentlessly with their catalogs and junk mail. I changed my address twice and the second time they lost track. Knock on wood here!

These people are one big bad business and who doesn't know that yet will pay the price.

STAY AWAY FROM TIGERDIRECT
They scammed me $130 and I am in the process of disputing with my AMEX. This company will just steal your money away.
If you buy something and if it's broke, they won't take it back even if it's RMAed the next day. I sent my package out a day later but they returned my RMA pacakge saying that I didn't include the plastic wrap for the product!!!! WTF?
When I call, they refuse to take my call and disconnect calling me a liar. Bunch of losers

Would it help if we all e-mail Tiger and let then know that they have been caught and we will never order from them again?
Any other ideas?

I think this deserves more than that, it needs to be reported to Federal Trade Commission., it is a time for scams from Tiger Direct and their associates to get prosecuted.
If you have been wronged by Tiger Direct file ftc complaint online, do not let TG to scam more people.

The only stores I buy from online are gamestop.com, amazon.com, newegg.com, and staples.com. I have contacted my CC company and asked them if they could some how block that company from charging me and they said no, so I have to fight the charge whenever I get one from them...
I suggest you cancel your credit card and have them issue you a new one.. every time I get fraud on mine I do that.. I take no chances..

Holy cow.. good thing I check the hot deals before ordering anything.. I was going to pick up a new PDA for work from them.. Thank god I didn't.

This should be reported as fraud and they should be shutdown. That's not just bad buisness, it's a huge illegal scam.

Thanks for the info.. This shoud get some sticky action.

About the check card, it really depends on your bank I guess. I have the Platinum Check Card from Bank of America. It's VISA so it's covered under fraud, also has BVG (though I hear it's a pain, never tried it) and purchase security (if your item is stolen you get your money back)

This is the best procedure. It only takes 5 minutes to fill out their online complaint form and they are the only ones who have the authority (besides a state attorney general) to actually do anything. The BBB can do nothing, the FBI has bigger fish to fry, etc. But, the FTC is directly responsible on a federal level for this type of problem and they have the authority! Some of of you may remember several Christmas' back the dozen or so dot coms who got slapped with half million fines each for promising Christmas delivery when they knew they probably couldn't meet that. So, take 5 minutes to file the complaint at the FTC site and if enough people do they will launch an investigation. The same thing works at the state level with the Attorney General Fraud Division. That just takes more effort because most don't have an online form you can complete.

If you do get hit with charge, definately take it past their CSR and goto BBB, resellerratings and the FTC.
I've been somewhat leery of dealing with them so far but this really nailed it shut for me.

EXman, I have to agree that's not true as far as debit cards go...it REALLY DEPENDS ON YOUR BANK. If you have a lousy bank, or a card that's not even a bank card(such as the Paypal Debit card, although they've been shaping up a little apparently) you'll be screwed. As for a quality banking institution, they will OFTEN side with you and give you your money back and file through the CC company(visa, mastercard etc)

So you just make sure your debit card is through a reliable bank that has your back =)

My bank did, it sided with me on a dispute with OfficeMax.com...

and dammit, I was gonna get one of those toshiba driveys once I got my @migo(rather *if* it ever gets to me)....

Oh well...never knew they were THIS bad though...knew they were sucktastic and to be avoided...told my friend NOT to order his RAM from them, other friend said to order, he did, got the RAM.

So they thought I was being a paranoid weirdo...hah! just sent him the link =)

So far the most risque company I've ordered from is GameVE.com and it seems that they at least bother to send you your stuff and have some level of service.

I don't know why you all are saying such bad things about them, I've never had anything happen. I ordered over $500 worth of stuff (2 different times) from them and it all got here in one piece, and no unknown charges on the credit card. I don't care what ya'll say, I'm still doing business with them.

Well, I've read more than 70 posts, and I have yet to see any evidence supporting the thread title.
