Warning for those people who bought PNY 256MB at OD for $20 after Coupon and MIR!

I ordered my memory and Ballpoint Pen Refills (make it for $50 to use the coupon) on Monday. I used the $15 off $50 coupon and I received my Pen Refills yesterday. It came with an invoice with the order summary. Today afternoon, I received my PNY 256MB memory w/Nortron AntiVirus inside. But the sad part is, I DID NOT RECEIVE AN INVOICE!!! In the packet, it just came with a well packed PNY 256MB memory. So I went and log in to OD web site and tried to get an invoice from my order, but when I looked at the Description for my order, it said "Non-Returnable". It didn't even mentioned about my ordered was a PNY 256MB memroy. But on the other hand, on my ballpint Pen refills order Description, it said "Pilot® Ballpoint Pen Refills, Medium Point, Blue". NOW!! I can't return the memory and I can't send the rebate......... TRICKY OFFICE DEPOT!!!!

first ya mean 256, not 258mb.

and always print out out the receipt right after u order online, cuz packing slips for some co's dont have prices on them.

ODP is a quality company. Call their customer service and they'll fax you an invoice. Or they'll help you out more if that doesn't work.

I take it you need the receipt for the rebate. And they may be picky if you use the online page of your transaction. So, do what I did for the Maxtor 20gig deal. Call up OD customer service and ask to talk to Customer Relations. You could just try telling the story to the first CSRbut if they want to pass the buck or seem clueless get the C.R. department. They can and will send you a copy of your invoice that will be good enough for the rebate.

OD does this quite a bit. Last time I didn't get an invoice from them I called CS and they gave me another number for their "Invoices and Receipts" line. You call 'em, leave a message (they tell you what to say), and they call you back quickly. They'll mail or fax you the copy. Simple, really.

If you don't want to deal with OD CS 1) Save your online invoice as .html 2) Edit your invoice to your liking 3) In IE go to File -> Page Setup and remove the print header and footer codes. 4) Print your invoice.

THANKS guys!! I just call Office Deport and tell them about my situation, they just fax me the invoice within 1 minutes after I hang up!
