WARNING!! NEWEGG ISN'T SHIPPING SOME CPUS

I ordered an AMD Mobile Athlon 2400+ from Newegg on Oct. 30 for a computer I was building for a present and it hasen't arrived. It was listed in the online catalogue as in-stock when I ordered and is still listed as in-stock. When I called customer support I was told that their warehouse was damaged in a flood and they were having difficulty shipping some orders. The rep said he would email the warehouse and try to expedite my order. I suggested that they post a warning so buyers would know that their orders would be delayed and he said he would report that to upper management. I did receive the motherboard I ordered at the same time. So much for the birthday present. Sorry if this warning has already been posted.Well I guess I shouldn't have posted this warning! See my last post below.

That would explain why my order for an xp-90 hs on the 31st still shows as being prepared in the warehouse

first time ordering @ neweggs. ordered nec-3500a on the 26th, got it 3rd. took a while, but they emailed me about the potential delay and are throwing in a "small gift" to appease me. some other people got free overnight shipping if they paid for overnight.

definitely will shop there again =)

I got my Memory in 2 days with Fedex Express Saver. Newegg is one of if not the best Online retailer out there.

This is hardly anything to get mad at newegg about. I mean, flood. FLOOD. That's awesome. It takes a fvcking flood to slow down newegg.

I ordered one last Friday, early in the morning, and it seemed very strange to me that they didn't ship it out until Tuesday this week. I guess that's why?

No one is angry that I can discern, just a public service message, if you will, to let members know that da egg is suffering from an "act of god" so have patience if your order takes a bit longer than usual to fill

Crap. I just ordered a whole comp from them Tuesday night.

Does anyone know if the warehouse affected was the LA one or the NJ one? FedEx says my LCD shipped from LA and my GPU and HSF shipped from NJ yesterday, but as of yet, my other items aren't shipped!! I even paid for the same day processing...

I should have waited b/c now they have the 6800OC in stock less than what I paid for the evga 6800....

I haven't heard from them yet. I assume that I'll get tracking info when it is shipped. I got my motherboard fast so it must come from a different warehouse.

10 days? When my computer broke to a watercooling leak, i had no computer from january 5th to october 12th.

They have no 6800GT's in stock from any brand on there site.Is that related?Hope I don't have to wait to long as I was going to buy parts as soon as they were in stock.

If anyone cares, I called them again this morning and they said that some products were affected but they were 15,000 orders backed up. And it wasn't a fire, the rep said they had problems with a warehouse conveyer system at their LA location...

At any rate, my LCD from LA and eVGA 6800 and Silent Boost HSF from NJ will be here today. However, my CPU, Mobo, RAM, DVD, FDD, AS5, cables, RAM and misc won't even be filled until this weekend!! Even with the gracious upgrade to overnight shipping on the remaining pieces, I won't get my stuff until Tuesday.

I agree that in the sea of shady dealers, the egg is still probably the best around. And to be fair, I DON'T know the level or extent of their shipping issue. But I paid for expedited shipping and handling and over 3/4 of my order is yet to be filled and that makes me a little sour because over the past years dealing with Newegg, they have set a precedent as the best, quickest service. That makes it even worse that they're having these issues. If I ordered from Tiger Direct or PC Mall, this would almost be expected. The bad thing is I needed this machine built for a friend before the EQ2 launch and I figured a week would be plenty of time for the egg. Of course insult to injury - I saw at a local Fry's some of my items cheaper since I placed my order... oh well.

At least I know why it took so long . But I am getting that Neopower today!

And you lived to tell about it? If I don't have a computer for more then 3 days I think I would start to go into withdrawals. I even bring my laptop on my vacations. Yes it is sad.

Interesting. I ordered an A64 on the morning of October 20th, and they didn't get it out until Friday(which is rare for them). The CSR at that point said that it was due to "technical errors in our shipping system."

An update for me..

They have been redeemed in my book. A CS supervisor called me back, apologized for the delay and said she personally made sure my order was on the 3:40PM truck tonight and I was getting next day upgrade. So with all luck I'll see the rest of my stuff Monday! Hopefully it works out OK with the rest of you with pending orders...

They said everything was shipped out, of course it all came from NJ. Is the flood in TN, Cali or NJ???
