Warning!!! NOT HOT!!! Office Depot and Tech Depot on Amazon.com

I noticed today the officedepot. com is on amazon.com and that techdepot items show up there when they don't show on officedepot.com... In my case it was a belkin nostromo n50 for $18.95 (good price) and a logitech dual optical mouse $34.95.. I had a $10 off amazon coupon code I wanted to use...

WHY IS THIS NOT HOT!!!

I clicked the "Checkout" button and it immediately processed the order. I didn't get a chance to enter any coupon codes. It goes right to the order confirmed screen :| on top of that they charged me $15.00 shipping :| .. If I would have order from OD.com I would have gotten free shipping....

Here is the worst part.. I couldn't cancel the order via my account on amazon...

"Orders cannot be canceled once submitted to Amazon.com. Select products are nonreturnable; please see our Returns and Exchanges policy for a complete explanation."

I called amazon and they said there is no way to cancel it and that I could send it back for a refund once it arrived...... So I can either got through a return hassle or keep the stuff for $67.00 I WAS ROBBED!!!

I suggest calling officedepot and letting them know that this terrible design may affect your decisions and the decisions of those you know to EVER shop at Office depot again

btw, NO press release i have read has mentioned that techdepot is included on the amazon thing. they are two very seperate systems and i don't think it is integrated for amazon.

There is no press release but, Items that don't show on od.com but do on td.com also come up on amazon.com. Try searching for the Belkin Nostromo n50. You will see what I mean.

Do you have 1-click enabled? I added something from the "Office store" tab on amazon and checked out, but it let me review the details before a final checkout. I didn't enable 1-click.

This is soooo easy!

First of all you can simply reject the package.

In case it will be left at your door or whatever, you can easily return it.

Amazon has one of the best return policies I have encountered.

Just do not open to merchandise, call them and they will send you a return label.

So don't worry about that at all.
