:| Thank you so much for the heads up, people at wells fargo were nice enough to cancel this. I called the number supplied and got nothing but a machine. Thats really pisses me off, I supplied NO credit card information, and I got charged. How is that not illegal?

Forget Fatshoe - get an MBNA card. They have their "shopsafe" program that lets you generate a unique number with a custom expiration date and a custom spending limit and it gets bound to the first merchant to bill it so that even if it gets stolen after it has been billed once, the thieves are out of luck. All this at absolutely no charge. I generate a unique number for each transaction I make on the net.

Yep, I had NSS subscription service charge when they renewed... didn't get a card either. Bastards

Uhh, could they still bill you if you dont have a credit card? but some one else made a credit card purchase on your computer?

I had this happen to me once with Time magazine. They charged a credit card that I NEVER use.

It took a few phone calls, but I got the charges removed.

I have AM Express Blue, About every 3 days I check my statement online. Somehow I was charged for a Earthlink account, I called and it was removed. Then it happened again Earthlink and AOL charges. So this time I called and had them both taken off.

This time I also had my number changed. Somehow somone got my CC number, maybe online merchant? I don't know..

Lucky they did not purchase a large screen TV.....:frown:

Just goes to show you that it happens. Now with the AM Express blue I am only going to use the Private Payments feature.

i am new to the board. and i love it.
the cc issue is scary. what i did, as a junior member is supposed to do, call cc for a replacement card immediately after i subscribed the mags. i hope they can't charge me with older cc.

What you do is call your CC or debit card company. They ask you questions saying if you did purchase from them, when, etc... After that they will place a stop on that order/debit. Ask you to tear up your card, and then they will call in about 3 days to reissue you a new number. Hope that helped ToJunk. Welcome to the Forum
