It’s a lot harder to blow up the enemy when you are forced to interact with them as is the rest of your family and your children. Does that mean bad things won’t happen? Of course not but for every bad thing done to people who are in close proximity to each other you create a bond of camaraderie and eventually people who were once your enemy will be your biggest defenders. It’s human nature. It’s why in big cities racism is less pervasive. It’s hard to hate people you interact with on a daily basis.

the same can be said of the rest of the world then....Europe for example has been in conflict with themselves for most of historythats only the state of israel but look back at the history of the region and you will see conflict after conflict with a relatively chill period of 400 years of ottoman rule.
