I swore at work on Friday I saw a link at Avault.com and unsuccessfully tried to download the thing. When I got home I couldn't find a trace of it any where.

Yep. That's the dead link I found as well. Something fishy here. Avault removed it as a headline in their news section the same day as well.

BTW, for those who don't already know, 3D Mark 2000/2001 uses the Max Payne engine. The Matrix-esque demo in 3DMark 2001 is probably the closest thing to an actual Max Payne trailer (still:|).

I did not know that, Ape. Haven't yet tried 2001 but the old benchmark was very impressive.

Now Max Payne...that's a single player 3D FPS done in the spirit of that Matrix movie, right?
