when you consider that it came out 15 years after the super nes did and the lag only improved by 1/2, the fact that no extra R&D would have to be spent on it (to have made it 6 ms faster), the fact that R&D costs on it were low anyway, the fact that microsoft is profitable largely because of IP, and the fact that my mouse button response is so much snappier than my keyboard and my xbox360 controller... isnt the xbox 360 controller really unacceptable?

6 ms is a lot of difference, is very noticeable, and will be even more noticeable with gsync.

it as *h*t*y as nvidia putting a fuse on their GPU dies to cripple performance and then trying to trick people into thinking that it could never make any difference for games.

and it all makes me very miserable.

I only notice it when the puny GPU of the 360 fails to crank out enough FPS in splitscreen on certain maps in Halo 4 and then it begins to feel hella laggy because even with game mode, my TV misses two frames and missing a third because of the controller lag... oh you're talking about PC gaming. I don't notice it on the wired USB controller. Might wanna go back to the cord if it's that big of an issue.

I've personally have had some problems with input lag while using the front USB ports on my previous case. It went away when I plugged the gamepad into the rear ports on the mobo itself. I've also seen a few other people mention having the same problem/solution elsewhere.

Some TVs, even with game mode enabled can have up to 50ms+ of input lag.

A mouse is at least a couple of milliseconds, there is the sample time in the mouse itself, then it transfers only 1000 times a second (some much lower around 125 times a second which is already 4ms) and then the OS has to do its thing and pass all that up into the game and then it samples the input. I seem to recall Anand looked at this a few years ago and put it at best around 3-10ms IIRC.
