I didn't see anything on it making fun of Japanese people more than the hooker scene...which was sort of accurate to the way a situation like that happens.
Many think it's 'lick my stockings' but the word was 'lip my stockings'....lip is for rip. There is no 'l' in the Japanese language, however their 'r' is a sound very very similar to our 'l'.
The movie was to show an accurate 'fate' of two married non-Japanese, unhappy with their relationships, stuck in Japan (where they don't want to be) for the two weeks/month or whatever it was.
My wife liked it only for the scenery (she is homesick, she's only been in the states for 2 years now).
