Yes agricultural understanding and knowledge is really a technology advantage. I had misunderstood things before my post, treated "technology" to mean "guns". Very well said on your behalf!
Yeah. It was even blind luck that the Europeans had a "technological" advantage in medicine/health (I say medicine but it was the fact that they'd been exposed to and developed resistance/immunity to certain disease) too. The confluence of all their various technological advantages was overwhelming which is why the Europeans were able to colonize pretty much everywhere. And big surprise that mixed with the nationalism led to very serious problems.
Oh and my last bit in my previous post wasn't aimed at you, but rather the people who act like admitting/realizing the things that were done mean that one somehow loses their appreciation for their current situation. I'd say knowing actually enhances my appreciation of how lucky I am to live where I do.
