So I go out last night with this girl...she's flirty, like pokin me and all that jazz.. Anyway she has a similar sense of humor to me...the kind of 'oooh i'm the most handsome guy on earth' type jokes, obviously being fescicious. Anyhow we hang out...I had heard she had a bf, but I didn't care. Turns out her bf just dumped her this past saturday (we had already planned to hang out before that). She said some odd things on the date though including:

1. She had left her previous ex boyfriend for the guy that was going out with her till Saturday.
2. He had dumped her for a good reason, and she still was friends with him, because she completely understood why he dumped her....but she couldn't tell me what it was.
3. she ordered some extra stuff at dinner and said 'what do I care? You're paying for it anyway'
4. At the end of the night I gave her a hug and she's like 'just don't try for anything more than this'....even though I wasn't trying to do anything...

Now, other than those few things I actually DID have a nice time, she's funny, and actually got my sense of humor. I saw a couple of her friends tonight and they said she wasn't really feelin me last night, that I was trying too hard....Should I just be happy with that and RUUUUUUN....or what? Honestly I didn't try to get into her pants, I didn't try overly hard to impress her, or for conversation, I'm not sure what she means by I 'Tried too hard'...

I agree with the first response, try it for a little while, but if she's still not feelin it, and you aren't either, then move on. Its weird, I had a great time at the party I went to tonight, and I just sat there for like four hours with the same girl on a couch in the back, basically just talking... We've known each other for ever though, and I haven't seen her for months, so we had a lot of catching up to do. She's not really someone I look at as wanting to date if you know what I mean. She's good looking, but we've known each other for waaayyyy too long. This was supposed to be a response of advice, sorry for hijacking. If you had a good time regardless, and want to get serious with this girl, than honestly talk to her after a couple more dates to get your true feelings out in the open up front.

i wouldn't worry too much what her friends told you...they could very well have their own ulterior motives. the one thing that stood out which DID bother me is her ordering the extra stuff during dinner & what she said....just sounds like she's a USER to me. if u do go out with her again, pay very close attention. i think Xanis & I share the same views.
