Was Yoda a jedi knight?

Me and my friend had this argument about Yoda. He said that Yoda was a jedi knight, while I believed that he was a teacher who taught young fools to become a jedi.

Of course he was... what kind of question is that? I guess he could be some kind of uber-jedi-knight, but then he would be one by default. He was definitely a jedi -- Obi-Wan calls him one -- so I guess the question is whether one can be a jedi without being a jedi knight...

When he was younger we was a Jedi Knight, now being older and wiser (but not as physically strong) he leads the Jedi Council and trains the jedis.

Strong in the Force, Yoda is.

Hell, I'd like to see ANYONE wield a lightsaber like a Jedi without any Force Powers. Apparently, the light saber was incredibly hard to hold on to because it had an incredible gyro to it. That's one of the reasons you had to train your Force control and be in peak physical control before you were seriously allowed / able to train with the saber. Bounty Hunters who were lucky enough to actually kill a Jedi and took their light sabers didn't use them unless they were trained or superbly agile and strong. A proud Bounty who killed a Jedi doesn't have much to be proud of if he accidently lops himself in half with it.

No, but he does have two hands, ya know. Anyway, there were Dark Jedi who held a saber in each hand. Plus, there was one, Xar Kun (sp?), who had one in each hand, and controlled two others with The Force. :Q He's long since been killed, but his spirit roams the planet he was killed on because it's far too powerful to be killed or the energy dispursed or whatever. -and he's still a badass.
