what makes you think this game will be crappy?

the original was way ahead of its time, and still played today. the creator is a famous games designer and a capable person.
the beta is (allegedly) great and this product was developed because of the demand for it.

again, we buy because the designer designed it to be what we want, and we want what he designs, not what "brands" have tried to make previously.

great games which are as-yet unrivalled. yes, because the product they produce are better than - i'm going on a limb here - what YOU normally play.

next time you feel depressend and that nobody likes you, try posting something more constructive to shield your self-hate, like "i warn you, fargo isn't the man he used to be, he's gone bad, don't waste your money!!!"

I am an early backer and have played the beta through a few times. It's been awhile though since I last fired it up. There last version I played still had some massive balance issues, bugs, and other problems. The story was cool though for what little bit that was available.

There's no way I'd be able to play the game through completely after playing some of the beta. I have to leave it as is, all surprises till the complete game is out. I may be able to contribute some to the beta in a good way, but I'm selfish like that.

For a game that is so similar to Fallout Tactics, it seems like a crime to omit specific body-part targeting like in FT.

I played the early alpha, and it seemed like FT with less features.

Also, that quest where you have to drop a tree into the water to save the boy is stupid as hell. There is absolutely ZERO indication that this is what you have to do to save him and time is extremely limited. He drowns every time. Even when I read on the forums that I need to interact with the tree, it was still hard to do because of the extremely limited time.

Plus, all the cursing in dialogues seemed "tacked on".

And corresponding to your experiences, those complaints are precisely in line with those that were made several months ago. It's come a long way since then.

If you're au fait with Quidco, Zavvi do cashback through them (usually a couple of percent) but could knock a few more pennies off the dealio in the end

I predict this game will be quite buggy and have an unintuitive UI. Would love to be proven wrong though. But when you have this much content, it takes a lot of time to do a quality check. And let's face it, it's never on top of the priority list. Very few companies care deeply about their games (Blizzard).

*wait what Blizzard? you didn't* Blizzard hasn't released a finished game since diablo......and care? You didn't play Diablo 3 on release...that was one of the worst; unfinished bug riddled game that I've ever come across. They had a very good system that was similar to D2 only to not listen to beta feedback; listen to their customers and rip it out 9 months before release and completely dumbing down and killing the game Diablo 3......Not only that; they completely reconned most things from Diablo and Diablo 2......

Only reason we've allowed Blizzard to get away with this so long was because the game and story was so damn good.......sadly is not the case with Diablo 3; expansion helps.....but its still not a diablo game.

This game is going to suck up a lot of my time, once released. I played the second or third beta release (Around January), and was impressed with it, even with the bugs it had at the time. I mostly play D3, but its time is short with this coming out.
