They have Shrek, Legally Blonde, Rock Star, etc... somewhere in the ball park of 700 hours worth of content that is updated monthly. Movies cost up to $4 each, TV shows & music video's are included with the monthly subscription.

I'm a bad person that should be scolded by the mods. It's just I can't sit by and watch my job go away, because noone wants to post this as a hot deal. If I broke any rules by self promotion of my employer, shoot me.

Even worse... for the adults aka mature viewers, we have a special package, but I'm not going to talk about that.

Thanks, that's the nicest shoot down I've seen here in a long time. ;] I probably already read the rules, and possibly have an account I don't want to tarnish with such postings.

How would you suggest, other than thread crapping, on a better way? Self promotion is wrong, and should not tie up the boards, you'll note I didn't post a new thread with my companies 'hot deal'. I just gave a cheaper alternative to a 'hot deal', we also just happen to have more legitimate movies. There are few online movie sites right now that are legal, even fewer that have decent quality.

The cinemanow deal allows people to pay $10/mo to get 175 nonmainstream/independant movies (at best 350 hours), some have an additional charge, and ther are 2 to 3 commercials/trailers preceeding them. intertainer for an alternative is $8/mo and that includes all TV shows & music video's, plus for some time you get 3 free real hollywood movies with the first month. I'm a lousy sales guy, which is probably why i play with computers, but even if .

So how would someone that's a frequent reader here, give an alternative to a hot deal, if they just happen to be employed by the alternative?

Uh huh, is that why so many people hate them? Have you ever had a contract with the RIAA? You might want to check out Musicians Get Together For Anti-RIAA Concerts [slashdot.org]. Notice some of the 'famous' names listed. And yes, this is OT, but let me add that I found this thread to be a hot deal.

After some investigation, I have to say that the site is not all it's cracked up to be. Although there are free movies, none of them are the sort you find at your local rental place: for those movies you must pay a fee to watch (pay-per view style). Oh well, they do have a big selection of low(er) budget movies though, so like wakeboarder said, it's a good deal if you like films.
