Pffftt... why BUY a Casio when you can get a perfectly good Timex movie themed watch from any participating Taco Bells?

You misunderstand replicas entirely. They're still well made.

Shit, I haven't even had a cheap watch rust or break while in the field. Maybe I'm just lucky.

so what's the difference between a $200 fake and a $4000 genuine?
there's gotta be costs cut somewhere.

I hope you do get it as everyone should have a nice watch. It's a big decision to be making so quickly as it doesn't sound like you've been researching for too long. How old are you anyway? A watch fetish/hobby is a dangerous thing

tell me about it; I have 5 watches

it's the only "accessory" that I wear, so I suppose it's not a bad thing

If you wanna try less popular (but still really prestigious among watch fans) try Ebel.

Not sure if you can get Panerai at 10k but those have a really distinct look.

Watch out! Seiko makes some upper end watches (grand seiko, spring drive, Credor, that easily compete with high end swiss both in price and quality/innovation).

<love my spring drive

never understood the fascination with watches.. you have a clock in your car, at your house, if you work at work, and most likely everywhere else you go. i never understand why people are so impressed with time, when it seems we never have enough.
i prefer to not know what time it is. life is better that way.

you should buy an ar-15 instead, they are very popular here.

What's the point of any piece of jewelery, as it serves no actual purpose but looking good? Why drive a high-end car when, odds are, you'll never get to top-out, or show off its true potential? Why buy an expensive suit when a cheap one will cover you just as well?

It's not all about how a watch tells time, but the craftsmanship behind it. How much time and effort was put into one piece. It's about appreciating the complexity of something that serves such a simple purpose.
