And actually from wikipedia about the 2nd movie-

* The Nissan Skyline that jumped the bridge suffered major damage to the steering, suspension and tracking and was undriveable afterwards. The Skyline pulling up to the finish line is a completely different one. There were at least five different Nissan Skylines used for the movie that represented Brian's car, most of them being used in the jump scene.

* The APC-owned Ford Focus FR200 appears in Tej's garage either on the lift or parked outside of the shop. It is painted in an american flag pattern and is the last remaining FR200 Focus (3 were built by Ford). It was a special 300-hp prototype Focus :Q built in early 2000.

Those were nice!!

Just finishing 2F2F I also found it interesting that the muscle car going 90MPH could barely keep up with a Yact. What kind of Yact can go even half of that speed. A third of that speed would be pushing it I would think.

I still think American Graphitti and Two Lane Blacktop are better racing movies. For car chases, you need to go with the original Gone in 60 Seconds and Vanishing Point movies.

I was a bit curious if there even exists a transition plate to hook a RB26DETT up to a Mustang tranny :Q. I'm not too sure if "all powerful" and "eclipse convertible" belong with eachother anymore . If I remember correctly, they used the 3G Eclipse in 2F2F and those Eclipses are nothing but garbage compared to the earlier DSMs. I think it's pretty safe to say that a Lanevo would beat a 3G GT-S Eclipse pretty easily. If you went with a GSX, the Lanevo would still win (bigger 16g turbo compared to the GSX's 13b on the same engine. If I remember right, the Lanevo also has better cams).

He's just trolling. Those quotes you posted are actually from the first movie, unless they recycled them for the 2nd movie. Was Vin Diesel in the movie?

Ah.

The quotes I think were mostly from the first movie (IMDB to get them exactly right). But I did talk about the second movie.

Vin Diesel was only in the first movie, not the second (I never saw the third so I don't know).

These aren't movies that you plan to sit down and watch.
Your favorite show takes a commercial break, you start flipping channels, you catch it on a movie network...OMG, I've been watching this for the past hour!

They are pretty decent movies to while away some time. And yeah, I wasn't aware of (1) so thanks for that factoid.
