I've seen Donnie Darko, I thought it was excellent (though, so did near everyone else).

And I can get through a movie without posting, I just choose not to.

I've noticed this with myself. If you are going to watch a movie, just watch it. You cant play a movie in the background and pretend you caught everything. That was an excellent flick and requires your attention. If you don't like it, that's cool. Don't write it off If you didn't sit down and actually watch the show.

that is an awesome movie.

i understand multitasking, but it has its limits. cheesy comedy or other silly film are fine with multitasking, serious film you should be immersed in the story, full attention.

I liked the first maybe half hour of it, but once they started actually explaining things it lost some of its charm.

Then again I was about 16 when I first saw it so I have definitely changed since then. Might be worth another shot.

yeah, my GF constantly has her netbook up when we're watching shit, and she constantly asks me what is going on, or what happened in that previous episode, or I don't remember that!.

I'vw watched enough to know that it is 98% dog shit. Written and created by middle-aged "adults" with the mental capacity and experiences of a pubescent boy and the writing skills of an emo high school senior in some AP class or something.

sorry, there is nothing remotely "mature," or inventive about anime. No, i don't dislike cartoons, in general, and I don't outright dislike some of the mainstream stuff that comes out of Japan, but the whole anime genre is garbage.
