I too am lost
I too am lost
Are you a man or woman? I'm all for more classically sized watches, but unless you got really tiny wrists those sizes are super petite.IMHO, anything over 31mm looks ridiculous. The 28mm Oyster looks okay. I still wouldn't wear one.

With solid, matte black band of the same design.
That's one of the old Casio DB (databank) models. Reliable and accurate.
And ugly…
My current Citizen watch has something closer to the right image. I don't wear it much anymore, partly due to WFH, partly due to it sometimes catching the hairs of my wrist, and partly due to it feeling pretty tight if I'm up and about a lot.
I think if I ever look to replace my watch, I might opt for a more traditional leather band.
Funny, I was considering a Seiko after this thread. However, I may wait since I'm going to Japan next year for vacation.I wear it as a hobby/ jewelry piece, nothing expensive.
The new chinese knockoffs from Heimdallr/ Steeldive/ San Martin.. hell even Pagani are amazing value for the money if you don't wanna wear expensive.
I actually wear a Pagani as a daily beater (Sapphire crystal, oyster bracelet) because I got a bit tired of scratching up my Seiko softlex crystal.
But after 5 years.. I'm getting the itch for another Seiko.. infact I was wanting matching ones for me and my wife since we don't wear wedding bands.

I'd probably get something simple, like something from Presage series. I also wouldn't be looking to spend more than a few hundred on it.Yeah they have some unique domestic market pieces over there.
I'm curious what kind were you after? I like the Sumo's.

I don't know if I'd opt for something from their domestic market. I'm very early in my thoughts on the whole new watch front. I'm also not sure we'd go out of the way to do dedicated shopping. It's more of a "if I saw something cool at the right price" in the airport duty-free section or just randomly while we were out doing other stuff, I could see buying something.
I also have a gold-colored Bulova watch, but it's in need of a new battery and resizing of the band since it was my late father's.

If I was a bigger Ghibli fan ([and I do like the movies], and it had a date and I wanted to drop $1k+), this seems like a nice design: https://www.seikowatches.com/us-en/products/presage/special/ghibli2024limited/
Yes. Reminds me of a Citizen watch I have now.
