I constantly found myself relating to the characters. If I was Rorschach would have I killed that guy, or I know exactly how Mr Manhattan feels in this scene. etc.

Rorschach didn't kill that pedophile/murderer directly in the comic though, which annoyed me. The thing about Rorschach is that he isn't really a cold-blooded killer. In the comic, he "pulled a Saw" and cuffed the pedo to his house and then set it on fire. He gave the guy a saw and gave him a choice to free himself or die. You see Rorschach walking away and the guy screaming as the building burns.

That woulda been better. That changes his character in a major way. Would have been even more easily to be related with. I wonder why they did that.

Would have made it too simliar to SAW probably.

I think they did to illustrate that contrary to his icy demeanor, he was a very emotional and emotionally disturbed person. At such a young age, such terrible crime is what is responsible for the loss of his "humanity" . I kind of liked this spin because it sort of explains why he's so unrelenting.

Now what I also felt touching was when he was facing his absolution at the hands of Dr, Manhattan and his emotional torment was displayed again. This made the scene even more tragic for me than in the comic, which even then was one of the best plot twists in the story.

I finished it today and enjoyed it. There was a tab too much glowing blue dick in it for me but I enjoyed the dark story line

I just watched it. I thought it was pretty awesome actually. The deepening of the plot seemed well balanced with the action scenes, and it doesn't pussyfoot around at the end and make it a completely happy/standard ending. I didn't really even notice 3 hours go by...

I'm actually watching this movie right now. I'm confused since most of this seems to have nothing to do with finding who killed the Comedian and what this conspiracy is...

It's not a quest to find the comedian's killer. The comedian dying is just a catalyst for the bigger arc of the story.

Glad I rented it at a redbox.
Couldn't finish half? So you made it through about at least the first 12 hours. The movie was ok but way too fvcking long (two hours thirty five minutes for an action hero movie, wtf?). Also the plot and story was a bit weak. The characters were cool but the story itself just dragged. It wasn't a polished execution; the movie should have been better.

I believe MrsSkoorb said it was "the worst movie ever". However, she's said that before.

Rorssach in prison was pretty cool. Best line in a movie ever:Link
