Don't buy kits...

They are put together and usually overpriced for what you get.

Buy a used aquarium pump like the eheim 1250. and find a used water block for the cpu... overclockers forums might have a few for sale.. or in anandtech.

Then you have to decide.. should you go 3/8 or 1/2" ID tubing. This affects performance.. 1/2 in theory should perform better.

As for a radiator I'd recommend checking out autozone for a heatercore. I think the OC forum has something on which heatercore does best.. (dimensions.. etc)

You can get a heatercore for around 20... pump for 30-40... block for 30 or so. You can buy one of those cool bayres things or u can make your own. It is really up to you. Or you can skip the reservoir idea and add a t section for filling/removing air. etc

I dabbled with watercooling for a few months. Great for overclocking but not for the normal user.
If you go buy all new things... expect to get MAYBE half what you paid for it if you decide to sell. There isn't a huge market for water cooling gear.

I bought some of my stuff from xoxide and cooltechnica and autozone. But to save money I think the sale/trade forums would be beneficial for you.

Buying a water cooling kit is like buying a dell. Sure it will perform well... but you pay a premium for someone putting things together and making sure it will work. - with a DIY water cooling system you get what you want and dont pay an arm and a leg.

I can't remember where but I seen the EXOS (black) on sale for 170. To use water you really need the proper case setup unless you want your case to look like total crap inside. I would try to squeeze out the extra cash for an EXOS if I was going to use water.

check out frozencpu.com

I'm eyeing the Zalman Reserator.... it's silent, but costly, to say the least
