Water cooling radiator on side panel

Looking to get a Swiftech H220 AIO CPU cooler. Also looking to get a Corsair 550D case with space for two 120 mm fans on the side panel. Would there be any disadvantage to mounting the radiator and fan on the side panel besides the fact that I have to be careful when removing the side panel? I currently have a 600T but looking to get smaller.

You would need to see if you have enough clearance for your GPU, else the GPU might prevent you from closing the case. Similar idea had occurred to me

It really isn't worth the hassle. I am had two 240s on my the side of my haf 932. Granted I did it without quick disconnects... Ha ha, wow was that stupid.

Its really awkward to use the side panel for watercooling, you'll have a tonne of hassle fitting it and then opening the case. Not worth it, get a case that contains space for a radiator more normally.

That's part of the problem. I want a rather small case but it needs top vents for 2 12 mm fans. Looks like Silverstone TJ04B may be it but I don't like their HD tray. I was hoping the Corsair 550D would be OK but I don't know if there is enough room. Depends on the MB I chose when Haswell comes out. I've read where people have trouble getting the H100i to fit.
