not sure but I think you have the inlet tube from the rad to the wrong barb on your Apogee...should be going to the barb in the middle that is directly over the core.

also just a thought..
you should be able to cut down your tubing length if you mounted the pump on the mb tray just above the ide cable. Then you can go pump > inlet rad [left barb if looking from front] > outlet barb of rad > CPU > left barb of GPU > right barb out > res and then to pump.

if you did it this way you can always add pci cards and such.

if you have a res, why are you using a Y also? can't you fill with your system with the res? that would also eliminate more tubing in your case.

nice thread with pics! keep it up!

hah you made me look lol i was like did i? but then i realized there was no center to the apogee, both barbs are equally off center so it doesnt matter which way you run them.
this pic kinda shows it.

i see what your saying as far as pump location, i have always mounted them at the lowest point to help make sure air doesnt get trapped within the pump but really with a pump this strong it can push the air all the way around no problems. I may just do that after all. Great Idea:thumbsup:

the reason i used the port and the res was i really like the look of the front panel res and i can easily keep an eye on it to make sure there is movement and fluid levels.
but filling thru the res is just a pain to get the air out.. so i ended up with both

thanks for the compliments and im glad you guys liked it.

keep up the tips also. im no expert at this i just like to share what i do know.

my bad. I thought the storm and apogee were the same type...but I see that the base is on the Apogee is the same as the mcw6000.
hah! I just picked up a mcw6000 for $10 and I'm getting rid of the aluminum top and I'm making an all copper top for it.

yeah, a lot of ppl say filling via the 5.25"/3.5" res's are a pain. good idea on the Y fill port. also speeds up the bleeding process I imagine.

another tip..you might want to add a drain/petcock via a Y. that way you won't have to undo any of your tubing or turn your case everywhich way to drain it.

you know a drain is an awesome idea, even with the fill port bleeding is such a pain. i turn the pump on and off, flip the case around this way that way, and still got bubbles.

i bleed valve would make it way easier. nice deal on the mcw6000

good guide, very basic but for noobs it is good. I'm currently on my first wc'd rig and have been enjoying it!

running:
Swiftech Apogee cpu
Polarflo TT gpu
Swiftech MCP655 pump
double heater core
dd single bay res

but I will be switching out the res for a T-line and the polarflo tt gpu block for a maze 4 shortly
