The game show woman suggested that the contestant should continue on with it it instead of rushing the woman to the hospital. She claims that she can't see straight and have the worst headache which suggests that she could have an internal head injury. It would be a major lawsuit case if the women die or handicap from the injury because she didn't get immediate medical attention.
That guy is an idiot. There is no way this is faked. How would you even fake something like this? You can see what happens. The watermelon explodes into pink bits. Her head is slammed backwards.
It's pretty clear cut. The obvious and most simple solution is that the slingshot backfired, not some elaborate editing scheme.
