Waterproof tape?

I have a shower head with a detachable wand. Where the hose connects to the wand, the plastic has developed a crack and water is leaking. I'd like to tape it up before the crack grows and I have to end up replacing the entire thing. Anybody recommend or know of a waterproof tape that can be used for this purpose? Ideally available at Home Depot or Lowes... Thanks.

The problem with that is you have two problems, water and high pressure. There's not much that will stop that for long. Duct tape will slowly get saturated and lose its grip and you'll have water spraying out the edges of the taped section.

Might want to try some epoxy in the crack.

Plumbers tape. It looks like electrical tape, but it bonds to itself and makes a water tight seal. This works pretty good for things that aren't under high pressure.

As said: pressure. I doubt any type of tape is going to hold up for very long. Epoxy is your best bet. (JB Weld is a type of epoxy, already mentioned) but there are epoxies that are better for plastic.

Walmart has some (10') in the plumbing section for about $7.

We had this tape way back in the early '70s. Used to use it to wrap wire bundles on F-4 fighters. It was gray.
