i will admit..
i have listened and loved SO much, from Queen to the Corrs, to Iron Maiden, Blondie to whatever sounds good, but i really like Erasure!
their songs have really lift my spirits up
so, any takers?

I listen to pretty much anything other than HipHop, Rap and Country. I grew up on what is now called Classic Rock so I still listen to that a lot.

In order of appreciation, first I listen to the music (or musicality), then the lyrics, and lastly the beat. I suppose that is why I'm not a fan of Rap or HipHop.

I don't watch TV or listen to the radio, so my exposure to music is very limited. And I'll listen to anything except repetitive rap where they say the same words over and over. My music-elitist friends are probably embarrassed by my music selections, but oh well.

Classic Rock (favorites are the Progressive Rock genre, ELP, Yes, Kansas, Uriah Heep) but I listen to a lot of different groups within Classic Rock. Christian. Jazz (Four Play has some early songs that really pick me up when I'm down in the dumps), Classical music from Bach to 20th century, Newer music (don't ask me the names of the groups or artist). Not big on hard core country especially the older styles. Folk music, not much rap or hip hop (depends though, and again, don't ask me the names or artists)

I don't listen to nearly enough music these days, too busy with work, or just want it quiet.

Did go to a live concert in September, the orchestra performed the music from 2001 a Space Odyssey (The Planets by Gustav Holtz) with Leanard Nimoy narrating, along with Star Trek theme Medley. It was excellent. Nothing like a live group.

I guess I just like music.

I just put Frank Zappa(Cheap Thrills), The Cure(Disintegration), Rocket Scientists(Brutal Architecture) & Guru Guru(Live) CDs in the car.
I like alot of music, from Motorhead to Tangerine Dream though the last few years i've been getting into more progressive/experimental rock.

Lately its a lot of contemporary jazz - Joshua Redman, RH Factor, Chris Potter - I play the sax, so my bias is evident. Other than that I listen to some rock and whatever lame pop music my wife puts on in the car.
