R290X runs Witcher 3 (GameWorks) great, even better than 970. With HairWorks!
You are wasting your time. Based on his post, he sounds like a very hardcore NV customer (or insert any other brand attached customer). I have a friend with whom I played Xbox 360 games in the last 7 years and he said he will never buy PlayStation or Nintendo, ever. He said he likes the Xbox brand and the user interface and it doesn't matter to him if PS4/Wii U may have better games, features, etc. His car purchases, only buys BMWs and Apple too because he says the best selling luxury brands are the automatically the best
because they are best selling.
Even if AMD beat NV in every metric, ^ would still buy NV. It's obvious from his posts and his tone.
Did you follow his GPU history? It was something like 680/770 SLI -> 780 SLI -> 780Ti SLI -> 980 SLI -> 980Ti SLI. Even a typical NV customer doesn't upgrade like that. This is pure brand devotion to buy every new thing that's out.
He doesn't care what AMD launches at all, only if AMD's cards force price drops on NV.
AMD as a company should not spend any $ on customers this attached trying to convert them, just like Audi/Porsche/Mercedes shouldn't bother with BMW hardcore fanboys. These companies are better off making better products for brand agnostic users, attractive newer clientelle that is open-minded (GenY/Millenials, etc.) and/or investing into future tech in their other product lines (in AMD's case that is CPUs/APUs/custom designs/smartphone GPU designs, etc.).
What are talking about?
Can you personally purchase AMD Fruy btw i already ordered 2 GTX 980Ti because i know i will get best customer support with upcoming games.
Why i wont spend my money AMD Fury because i know they cannot do anything about Gameworks games which are majority of AAA games and i do not want to go AMD roy or Matt twitter and complain or troll my problems so i only need a special forum where i can post my complain and get a respond ASAP.
What's your solution then? AMD should pay off developers to create
GetInTheGameWorks with black box code no one but AMD can optimize, shove millions of lines of DirectCompute code, create artificially insane memory bandwidth requirements (R9 390/390X 384GB/sec, Fiji XT 512GB/sec)?
If for my next card I went NV, I would still wait until GW games drop to $5 because to me GW is a cancer to PC gaming because NV is trying to create a #GeForceMasterRace eco-system inside PC gaming community. You keep blaming AMD for NV bribing developers and shoving proprietary closed source game code that cripples not only AMD but older NV gen cards? Amusing.
