Unrealistic expectations in that slide. How could anything 1 gen newer be over 100% faster than last gen flagship. That hasn't happened in a long time.
Everything WCCF has ever posted has turned out fake. He's fishing for page hits, nothing more nothing less.
I think the first time he pulled a graph that an enthusiast made up and bragged about being fake. Keep it classy, WCCF!
I think you mean 5870 vs 4870 & 480/580 vs 285.Not saying it's legit, but didn't the 5870 go over 2x the performance of the 4870x2?
Didn't the 480/580 go over 2x the performance of the 295?
AMD may not have been able to do it with the 7970, but that doesn't rule out Nvidia being able to - just cause - legit slide or not.
Here is a current graph they have up on geforce.com
Says gpu physx enabled, even though the test used (gpu) has none.
However the suspect leaked one doesn't say Intel which would be a problem I'd think... But then it's leaked so it may not be a meant for public slide, maybe an internal/share holder only?
Unless it comes with a release date my interest remains low.
C'mon Monday...
+1. With NV holding its cards so close to it's vest, the rumor mill is getting annoying!
Gtr 785?
@Eisenstein
going from a 580's 40fps -> 73fps ish, is like a 80% gain in performance.
Will a 780 be 80% faster than the 580?
the 580 is ~520mm^2 and listed at 244TPD
(Techpowerup has it at peak=226watts, Max = 329watts)
Even with 28nm being a decent sized jump from 40nm, theres just no way, it can give ~80% increase in performance, and stay under 300watts. And thats not even for the top of the line chip... thats just the 780, apperntly theres a 785 and 790.
Non of the graphs seem believable to me.... Hope Im wrong, that would def. push down prices of AMD's 7970 though.
Well, there's a few possibilities here:
1. The slides are accurate, and the rumors of a end Q1 release are true.
2. The slides are BS, and the rumors of a end Q1 release are true.
3. The slides are true, but the release is way in the future.
If #1 was true, this would be exactly the situation that you would have early cards demoed for the major sites in a hotel suite just before CES. Yes it might make it difficult to sell 580s, but those will be a tough sell anyway. What happens to the sales of the HD7970 when Anand and Toms show hands-on test results where the GTR780 has greater than 100% gains in BF3 over the GTX580?
If NVIDIA had hardware in house with this kind of performance that was ready to launch in less than 3 months, they would be doing everything possible to spoil AMD's party.
and by the time we see it (end of q2) amd will be arming the hd 8000 series of start of q3.. aint life wonderful.
Can you name one thing they posted which turned out to be fake?
I've been an avid follower of WCCFtech.com, The Bulldozer leaks they posted turned out 100% accurate, Specs on AMD's HD7000 Series were also true.
Sure the Kepler Performance numbers seem a bit too high in that chart but look at the performance leap 400 Series took over 200, The GTX480 as some other guy stated was twice as fast as a GTX 285.
Nvidia already has samples of 28nm chips working in their labs.

The naming scheme still ain't official since some sites report the GT-600 Branding, Hopefully that would be settled by some kind of announcement at CES 2012.
The GTR 785 looks to be a dual chip card based on two mid end cores just like EVGA 560Ti Dual, The 760 seems about right since it has 500+ Cores and might run at 1Ghz. Pricing would be higher than AMD's competitors, $600+ for GTX780 if the performance is accurate.
Oh and many of you're wondering why PhysX has to be enabled in a Non-PhysX title (Battlefield 3). It was manually enabled from Nvidia Control Panel like you can see in the other chart. Performance takes a minor hit if you disable the PPU even if an app doesn't utilize PhysX, Tested it out myself in Uningine Heaven and two other benchmarks.
#4 the slides are BS and the release is still far off?
I like it but i'm still not going to wait to buy it. Like usual you're late Nvidia
