If that price and expected performance are correct then it's priced where it should be.
But seems all this is just wild speculation.
It is. Can't be anything but until NDA expires.

Um. Yeah, whatever. That has everything to do with mid range GPUs.
Mid range marketed as high end. With that in mind $300 isn't even unrealistic.
Maybe its a 2gb model 970 for $299??
$299 is too low if performance is correct.
$399 for the GTX970 would still be impressive IMO.
A warning to everyone to stop trolling in this forum, or I'm getting the ban hammer out.

$399 wouldn't be at all. At least in the UK that would mean at least £300 including 20% VAT which is no different from the GTX670 or GTX570 which launched at similar prices.
$299 would be impressive though,as that would equate to £220 which would be relatively low for a card in that position in the lineup of Nvidia.
I would be amazed if a 2gb card is even offered.

Definitely says $519. What store was this at?
Reading further someone confirmed its a AU vendor based on the SKU sticker, so crisis averted.

EDIT: Going by the post, That converts to roughly $400 USD? Because if that price were USD Nvidia pretty much insulted me. Haha.
