WD 1200JB/1000JB/800JB Owners: Real World Difference?? Anything like 7200RPM IDE to 10k or 15k SCSI???

Moving from an IBM 75GXP I can say I noticed a difference in my 1200JB. Your results may differ but the JB seems quite fast to me.

I can't tell the difference between the 1200BB and 1200JB in regular use. They are definitely perceptively slower than 10k and 15k drives in everyday use. You will notice a very large performance increase chaotic almost irregardless of what you do with your computer.

Good! My computer grinds to a halt when I run e2fsck, like now. Guess it's too late to order another kind anyway, it's in Indianapolis!

Just installed the 80GB 800JD. Very impressed. Quiet, and a HUGE speed jump over my 7200RPM IBM 20GB 34GXP.. lol. Very noticeable.

it makes a difference, morrowind loads much faster with this drive. It took a bit longer to load on my friend's system with a maxtor ata100 7200 rpm drive.
