Is it possible to get Circuit City or somewhere else to pricematch the 109 AR price?

That way you get 120 for 109 and no dorking with rebates. I may have to try that at lunch time.

Jdorn, Circuit City is also offering a rebate on their price so at the most you might be able to get them to PM their price of 199.99 to Best Buys' 179.99 price. I think only if they didn't offer a rebate, you could Pm that way.

Unfortunately, the Best Buy circular for this week has the drive priced at $199 (before the rebate.) I'm sure to get CC to bite, you'd need to find a good way to convince them. Plus the price was not only stated at $199, but the ad also said "$70.00 rebate available" - I'm sure CC will be quite the snake if you try to get them to do a price match.

But $50 for using 100? Are you sure you didn't hear 5 back for every 100?

Yeah, this $50 thing seems kind of sketchy to me. Maybe, it applied to one market, but I couldn't imagine BB running a massive campaign of this nature. If that were the case, I'd make 5 trips in and out of the store in a 30 minute period - getting all the items that I want - and an individual $50 gift card with each.

Might be a sweet deal for me, because I still have a 10 dollars gift card back then when I purchased the WarCraft III Limited Edition set.

So if the price is $179.99, then I can get it $179.99 - 70 MIR - 10% - $10 GiftCard = $82

There is only a 10% discount if you received coupons in the mail. The 10% sale is for this coming Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday. The drive is supposed to be $179.99 on the shelf before the $70 rebate. However, if you have the coupon, this could be a great deal.

The performance of the "SE" drive will be better. However, if you have a hard drive that was built 2 years ago and you're still using it, then this newer WD drive will still be quite fast. If anything, this WD 120 GB drive would make a great backup drive.

I was looking though the rebate threads over at F@tWallet. Apparently, there was $100 rebate on this drive back in September. Most people have reported a turn-around time of one month before they got their rebate money back. Not bad, not bad at all.
