WD 80GB Drive (2mb buffer) for ~$40 AR and BVG

I did a search and didn't see anything on this one!

You can get the WD 80GB drive for $90 AR at Outpost (link is http://www.outpost.com/entry?site=op:mfe2&sku=3006489). Shipping is approx $5 for ground.

You can then pricematch on the AMEX BVG to and OEM drive at $95 (making your net cost $40) or a retail drive at $115 (net cost of $60). You can use pricegrabber to find either of these.

Lets not start a flame war about BVG and retail vs. OEM drives. I have repeatedly used BVG with an OEM drive and had no issues . . .

What is AMEX BVG?

I found the answer. It is their Best Value Guarantee and I think you need to use their Gold or Optima Card

You are full of Cr*p. I just moved from Iowa (West Des Moines) and I had both a Corporate card, and a Gold Rewards Plus card and NEVER had an issue. Prove to me that you can not get one in Iowa IF you qualify!

another confirmation on this phenomenon,
I bought a retail WD 1200BBRTL last month for $286 delivered w/$120 MIR then 3 weeks later PM'd using
AMEX BVG gold to a oem (WD1200BB) @$153, got a check for $130 from AMEX friday and waiting on MIR
but $120 MIR+$130 BVG=$250-$286= $36 shipped.

yeh I know, sick huh?
