Hey guys! I use an external hd to stream video files and needed more space. I was going to get a normal one but I couldn't pass the deal I got on this. I've never owned an NAS drive before and had a couple of questions....
Everytime I try moving a large video file onto it (at least 4 or 5GB) , I receive an error message and have to cancel. Smaller files have no problems. I'm running Win 7 64 bit. If I right click the drive, there's no option to format in NTFS. Anyone here know a way around this?
Also, I was wondering if having a hard drive connected to my router will bog down my speeds at all. I understand if I'm streaming a video but what about when its just in idle?
