Issue is entirely AMD's fault, their RAID controller and drivers combined with Win7 64 equaled total data loss on the 2TB volume. Thats really an unacceptable failure point on mature technology. Drive failure is to be expected, controller or driver problems are not.
Expected failure or unexpected failure, that's what backups are for. The fact that you didn't have one, is not AMD's fault.
Perhaps you'll learn from this incident.
Edit: I'm not perfect either. In the 90s, I lost a 1GB HDD with some useful stuff on it. That's when I learned to back up. I used Norton Ghost for the longest time with XP. Since I'm moved to Win7, I use some external HDDs to backup now. I keep stuff in triplicate, at the very least.
