Why bother getting a raptor when these are faster than all but the newest raptors and cost far less?

They are NOT faster across the board.
Each drive has a place in the market, though the differences isn't that great, there are still some things in some areas where the raptor is a better choice.

So for "normal" use (rare gaming), would I be better off w/the 640GB & save $50 & gain 490GB?
