He's sending out the scans to everybody. We can all review. It shouldn't be that difficult to go through 500 tickets in a few minutes.

A typo wouldn't be a big issue, if you hit 5 numbers, you sure as hell going to pull that ticket out and check it. Missing a ticket entirely shouldn't be an issue either since the spreadsheet should have an amount of rows equal to number of buyers * 5.

If it has even 2 numbers right, it will get triple checked for accuracy...so hopefully it wont be that bad of a typo, plus we will have the scans if someone really wants to go through them all.
