I don't think speed of checking the numbers really matters--once the numbers are published, and as soon as a winner exists, time to collect is not an issue, correct?

This. The payout would be made across all of the claimants unless we "allow" Vivi to collect the payout directly as a single individual. The drawback to that is that we would all essentially get taxed twice - Vivi would get taxed initially then would be making a payment to each of us after taxes which we would then be taxed on as it would likely be much larger than exempt gifts.

If we win, we would all pretty much need to show up to collect. Though Vivi could potentially collect it as a trust, but then lawyers would want their cut.

That'd be one hell of a ATOT meetup!
