What I meant to say is no limit to the number of people who participate. Pools should have buy in caps; $10 min/$20 max seems reasonable.

dont like that idea. everyone puts in an equal amount, everyone gets an equal amount. if the buy in is too much, then people who dont want to play, dont play. doing a share system like that is just leaving it open for someone to cry foul if we end up winning and he doesnt get as much as he thought he would

The site that posted there are 8 winners doesn't look legit. As of now, all we know for sure is that there were no winning tickets in CA, but 29 people got 5 numbers.
