We just got a Popeye's Chicken here

We've had a Popeyes right down the road from me for probably over five years now. I've never tried it. Maybe tonight I'll finally give it a go.

fried versus fried, Popeye's is better than KFC (the only two major chain fried chicken restaurants I've tried)

I do prefer KFC grilled over Popeye's fried, though.

Both Popeye's Chicken here was shut down here due to unsanitary conditions. I will NEVER eat at a Popeye's Chicken ever.

Why do you hate flavor? Nothing tastes good coming out of a clean kitchen.

Popeyes is the best national chicken chain in the US. PERIOD. No other chain seasons as well as them. Oh and look for the "Cajun Sprinkles" packets for more flavor, not that it is needed.....

We had a Popeye's Chicken, but it went under. I only ate there 3 times in 2 years. There food was very good(for fast food fried chicken, better than KFC), but unfortunately, they suffered from a lack of quality help.

Popeye's probably has the best spicy chicken. KFC the best original chicken. Piggly Wiggly the best grocery store chicken.

crispy vs non. KFC "original recipe" chicken is good. Their crispy chicken is not.

When I was rather young, there was this old, old Hardee's at the local mall (Crabtree). It was probably the filthiest fast food I had ever seen.

They actually had sanitation grade of C. I have never seen that before or since, and they actually advertised this (I suppose you have to?)

needless to say, it closed--but it took a surprisingly long time, heh. The space was leveled, I think, and replaced with a Barnes & Noble.

I'm pretty sure that was one of the filthiest kitchens, ever.

Bojangles is nothing special. That's why you can't find it everywhere. BTW, I have Bojangles nearby. I don't go there because I have better choices.

their dirty rice is OK, but I think the fresh fries with pap is better than any side at any other chicken joint.

Popeyes red beans and rice is quite good. even better with some fresh chopped jalapenos.

Plus, who else has a country ham biscuit...and actually makes real biscuits?

I also like that Churches will give you a bag of whole jalapenos instead of fries or whatever.

No chicken sold in the US is close approximation of chicken. You can hate on KFC crispy chicken but their original is good.
