We need some Muslim ruling in the U.S!

I hope I got your attention.

All I mean by it, is that I'm tired of the type of punishment criminals are given here in the U.S.
We continue to release murderers and rapists after a few years and good behaviour.
And the rest just get a few days in or community service.
That really sucks.
So "kids, or punks" have been going around the neighborhood breaking car windows, slashing tires and scratching cars.
And what will they get once their caught?
A slap on the wrist, right?
F&&K that!
Chop both their hands and 1 foot, just 1 so that they can jump around. That will teach them. And it is guaranteed that nobody will ever do it again.

Is it cruel? So what?
What we have been doing hasn't worked, it didn't work, it doesn't work, it will not work!
Stop feeding and educating inmates, just hung them like in the old days, or mutilate them!

That is a pretty barbaric punishment. I wouldn't mind if we have some Muslims or any other religious group ruling the US, but I would mind if we had any sort of religious law dictating our punishments. Most of these religions have crazy 'laws' that are barbaric and cruel.

Sometimes a crive is given a monetary value, which really sucks.
Let's say you work really hard (overtime and what not) for a year or so to be able to afford a big screen TV or a plasma. Then 1 day, this lazy F%%K comes into your house, destroys your property and takes your tv away. Is your TV worth only what you paid for?
or does it have more meaning that just that?
How should the thief be punished?

Another thing. Why do we allow a jury (bunch of strangers, sometimes only wishing to get out from work) to decide what the punishment for a criminal should be?
Why not have them just be witness to the punishment the victim and those directly affected by the crimes decide what the punishment should be?
And oviously I'm only talking about cases where there is complete knowledge of the guilty ones. Then again, we sometimes have people on video committing horrible crimes and yet we have to take them to court to try and "lower their sentence (or is there another reason)

You are confusing "winning" the war on drugs (which will never happen) with "ending" the war on drugs (which will also never happen).

Winning the war on drugs is like winning the war on terrar.
