Hello,
Let me start off with say I'm not very familiar yet with Fireworks yet, so I use a combination of good old HTML, Frontpage, Photoshop, and Fireworks. During that time, as you can imagine, I open up a ton of windows and web folders. Anyway, so about 30-45minutes into some intense graphics interchange between the different programs and all different resources, my CPU is chuggin' it at 100% CPU usage (according to the task manager). The slow-down is very noticeable and under the processes tab, windows explorer.exe fluctuates anywhere between like 16% and 88% of total CPU usage. It's pretty much like someone shot my computer. A restart helps a ton, but it's annoying, so I'm wondering. Is this normal? And other than keeping to fewer applications, any other tips? thanks in advance
my setup:
WinXP Pro
384MB SDRam
1.2Ghz AMD Athlon
730 Sis display adapter
Fireworks 4
Frontpage 2002
Photoshop 6.0
Cable Modem connection provided by AT&T @Home
