No... Webers are 100% made in America. They manufacture all their own parts, including stamping and casting the metal components.Originally posted by: jjsole

Its probably more like "assembled in America, with parts from outside America, by people not born in America, earning wages most Americans are to good for."

If you like BBQ, you really should just bite the bullet and get one.

2-3 times a month.
By far the ribs and boston butt are the best.
It is a fair amount of work to do good BBQ, but once you start it you can pretty much leave it alone. Maybe mop every hour, but that's about it. I use a wireless themometer to monitor temps, but this thing maintains 225 very well. For a butt I fire it up at 7 pm, put the meat on at 8:30, wake up the next morning at she's still at 225.
It's fun to play around with different woods, because they really do add a ton of flavor.
-edit- oh, you wanted tips...
Get a wireless thermometer, shove it into a potato and put that by your meat. Monitor temps. Just remember that things don't happen fast with BBQ. So changing something might not show up until an hour later.
I wouldn't say 100%, I imagine there's something in there that they import. But yeah, the majority of pieces are made here, so they deserve my money.Originally posted by: Vic

My dad has a Webber grill thats ~20 years old. The thing is still in great shape and cooks wonderfully. Thats why they're more expensive.

Bottom line, charcoal grills are ghetto, no offense to the poor.
And the flavor with charcoal is WORSE imo than gas with ceramic brickettes.
