Weber Genesis Silver A gas grill -- $149 at Lowe's, YMMV

I picked up this grill on clearance at Lowe's in Temecula, CA. I think it is the 2004 model (p/n 6211001). I don't know if it's nationwide, especially since the store in Murrieta, CA (less than 5 miles away) had the same grill listed for $213.

Anyway, it is the top-rated gas grill under $500 at bbq.about.com.

Good luck to anyone shopping for a grill. Finally, I get to replace the crappy Sunbeam grill that my wife has had for nearly 10 years.

Seems like an amazing deal. My 15ish year old grill still works great, but it's looking a little worn and the flavorizer bars need replacing, but if I can get a new grill for $150 instead I'm all over it. I'll check it out after work...

Anyone happen to notice the price on the Silver B? The A size is okay, but I'd love it if the big one was cheap too.

Normal price. $499 I think. The 2005 Silver A is $399. The 2004 Silver A, if you can find one, is on clearance. The primary differences are the 2005 model has stainless steel doors on the front of the cart and has 26,000 btu compared to 22,000 btu on the 22004 model

Best time to get a grill is end of summer. Last August I got a Weber Gold B at Sports Authority for $265. The Silver A was about $150, and the Silver B about $199.
