Linens and Things sells this grill for $450. There are 20% off coupons from LNT and Bed, Bath and Beyond that are accepted there. Also if you sign up for a LNT credit card you get an additional 10% off

$450 - 20% = $360 - 10% = $324.

I went by my local store today and picking it up Thurs.

The Genesis Silver B is not the stainless steel model. They had another Genesis model that is SS, it sold for $599.

I love my silver B it is by far the best cooking grill I have ever owned.

Tip.. heat the grill up with all burners then turn off the center burner and leave the outside 2 on low and you will never have a flameup. It takes 15 or 20 minutes to cook most anything so my wife will start the veggies and potatoes just as I carry the meat out to the grill walla a great dinner.

Also marinate your meats in the morning before you go to work.
Ribeye + tenderizer + worshisire + Steak Sauce then pound with meat hammer.
Tekiake + chicken breast let sit then grill & garnish with a pineapple ring.

I love to Grill Out!!

Anyone got a pic of the grill?? Maybe a good spot for a review? I am looking for a modestly priced gas grill, but not sure if I even want to spend this much (this should probably be in IWANNA, but I figured this thread may attract some grill aficionados)

Any suggestions would be great.

Thanks!

Seems like a pretty good deal, though I am a bit disappointed. I originally read this as "Web Server.... $324" Don't ask me why.

Another weber lover here. We have used our Silver A an average of 4x/week since I got it for $199 - 10% @ home depot when they were clearing them out. My Dad has the B, and it is definitely worth the extra $ for the higher BTU's from the extra burner and bigger sq ft. My goal is to wear mine out so my wife will let me get one w/ 3 burners.

Good deal on a great grill.

My wife bought one for me and I love it:
- Heats up hot, fast and even.
- The LP tank hangs from a little spring-loaded scale that tells you when you are getting low on gas.
- The porcelain-coated cast-iron cooking grates are pretty non-stick, and seem durable and easy to clean.
- Grease actually drains out and into the tinfoil catch pan (no soup can,) my old Sunbeam GrillMaster would just let all the grease collect in the bottom and never make it to the soup can, whcih made cleaning it out a real treat.
- The fold out side shelf on the left is perfect for keeping your cold beverage (or cheese, or veggies, etc.) away from the hot cooking area.

I get them @home as junk mail. Check with friends/relatives. Also try the Sunday papers.

Me too! After buying a few cheap grills, I actually bought the Silver B and have been 100% happy ever since. The surface heats up evenly, the tank level thing is sweet, and it's built like a tank. I'll never buy anything but a Webber from now on.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Pound Ribeye with a meat hammer???? What a shame, in the way of steaks all we eat are Ribeyes and I have hardly ever needed more than fork to cut mine, never more than a butter knife. If you are having to resort to a meat tenderizer (both chemical and physical) for your Ribeye it may be time to shop for steaks elsewhere... To go through all that trouble you may as well buy Round steaks.

I got the Weber Gold C at LNT this week. The lady didn't want to let me use the Bed Bath and Beyond coupon because she said that the LNT coupon normally said that it excluded Weber grills. I didn't have to argue with her too much to get the 20% off, but she wouldn't let me stack the additional 10% off from opening a CC onto the deal so YMMV. It was still the best deal I could find on the Weber Grill...

$599 - 20% = $480 + 4.5% VA Sales Tax = $501.60 ... Cheaper than the retail price of the Weber Gold B model ($550), and cheaper than what I'd pay for the Weber Gold B if I bought it from Home Depot with a 10% off coupon.

For me, I wanted the full stainless steel grill going so I opted for the Gold C versus the Silver B that LNT sells.

Love my Silver B also. Have had it for 2 years and it gets better with age.

I've never seen this grill sell under $400 so $325 sounds like a good deal.

Check Weber's website or Homey D for a picture. It's black, not silver.

Dude, you are ruining your steak! Just kidding, everyone has their preferences, but ribeye's (if you're talking about ribeye steaks, the $8+/lb meat) are good steaks, and really don't need a tenderizer, and definitely do not need a meat hammer.

Premium meats, such as ribeyes, strip steaks, porterhouse/t-bones, should be tender already, if quality meat. just a simple dry steak rub an hour or two before cooking is sufficient. Or you can do the marinade if that floats your boat.

The key is to SEAR the steaks. Get as hot as a flame as you can. I mean as hot as you can get. For example, Ruth's Chris sear their steaks at 1800F. That is hot. Sear the steaks, for two reasons. First, once you sear it, it forms a hard layer of meat on the outside, which traps juices inside the steak, and lifts the steak off the grate or pan (because of the hardening, so to speak). Sear both sides on as hot as a surface as you can get, probably 1-2 minutes each side, then remove from the high heat. This is a rare steak still. If you want it more done, grill over lower heat, or finish in the oven. This is how a lot of restaurants do it. The searing is key, if not, you will lose all the juice as it leaks out during cooking. Also, let your meat rest, after taking it off of the heat. Always let rest at least 3-5 minutes. This allows the juice to redistribute, or else it will all leak out once you cut the steak.

The above only applies to premium cuts of beef. Top sirloin probably as well. Anything else requires different procedures.
